This is Epiphany and she’s a therapist. Her magic allows her to peak into pony’s minds, she can only do this consensually and the subject has to be in a relaxed state, its similar to a kind of state of hypnosis. The resistance of an unwilling pony is to much to force past. She doesn’t see so much thoughts as she does more like get feelings and glimpses of related imagery, but usually these are things influenced by the subconscious so it is useful to her in counseling others. She’s really fascinated in social psychology and the thought process of others. She’s a really logical pony but this doesn’t mean she’s emotionless, far from it. Epiphany is very caring and her logical viewpoint helps her separate herself from the problems of her friends so it doesn’t effect her and she can offer her best advice. But she also offers a very nice shoulder to cry on if thats what you need instead of advice. Sometimes you just need to have a good cry.
Epiphany’s cutie mark is a light bulb with a heart shaped filament. The light bulb symbolizes the reaction most people have after hearing her advice, having a bit of a ‘eureka’ moment as they realize there’s a solution to the situation. The heart is to show that she’s a compassionate individual, even though from time to time her fascination at a dilemma or situation can make her seem disingenuous.
